Everything you might want to know before getting in touch.
The first session is a chance for us to meet, talk about what's brought you to therapy, and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure to share anything you're not ready for. At the end we'll discuss whether to continue and what that might look like.
This varies enormously from person to person. Some people find 6–8 sessions helpful for a specific issue. Others prefer ongoing weekly sessions over a longer period. We'll review this together as we go.
Yes - everything discussed in sessions is completely confidential. The only exceptions are situations where I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others, in which case I have a professional duty to act. I'll always discuss this with you openly.
No referral is needed. You can contact me directly to arrange a consultation.
Yes - online sessions are available via a secure video platform. They are just as effective as in-person sessions for most people and are available to clients across the UK.
I ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations may be charged at the full session rate.
A small number of reduced-fee places are available for people on lower incomes. Please mention this when you get in touch and we can discuss what's possible.
Payment is made by bank transfer before or after each session. I'll send a simple invoice by email.
